Luxury Resort Reviews

Looking for the Best Luxury Resorts, Hotels, All-Inclusive Resorts, & Cruise Vacations?

HI, I’m Meg!

My favorite thing to do is travel to new resorts and cruise ships and share them with you.

As the founder of Traveluxe and the face behind That Resort Girl, I’ve built a travel agency and Instagram that cut through the noise. Think of me as your best friend who also happens to be a luxury travel pro, the one who knows which resorts are worth your time and money, which cruises sell out first, and how to turn decision fatigue into a glass of champagne by the pool.

I know your lifestyle because I’m living it too - busy schedules, high standards, and no time to waste. You don’t need 20 options; you need the right one. That’s what I share here: insider travel guides, resort reviews, and chic finds that make every trip easier (and way more fun).

Let’s make travel simple, stylish, and VIP, together. ✨

Resort & Destination FAQs

  • How do I know which all-inclusive resort is right for me?

Start with your vibe, not the price tag. Do you want quiet luxury or a social, lively scene? Adults-only or family-friendly? I’ve stayed, toured, or vetted hundreds of properties, so I’ll tell you exactly which resorts are worth it and which aren’t.

  • Are all-inclusive resorts actually worth it?

When done right, yes. Premium resorts include top-shelf cocktails, à la carte dining, 24-hour room service, and upgraded amenities that would cost far more à la carte. The key is choosing the right tier — not all “all-inclusives” are created equal..

  • Which resorts are best for families with kids or teens?

Brands like Beaches, Grand Velas, and Hyatt Ziva excel for families. Think waterparks, kids’ clubs, teen lounges, and multi-bedroom suites. I’ll match you with resorts that balance “fun for them” with “peace for you.”

  • How do you pick which resorts to feature or recommend?

We vet based on site inspections, guest reviews, service standards, amenities, privacy, location, and brand reputation. If a resort doesn’t hit our bar, we won’t feature it.

  • Can you arrange exclusive or VIP extras (chef’s table, private island, behind-the-scenes)?

Yes! Access is part of the value. We specialize in VIP upgrades, private guides, early access, and experiences that feel unique.

  • Which Caribbean islands have the best luxury resorts?

Turks & Caicos for beaches, St. Lucia for scenery, Anguilla for boutique luxury, and Jamaica for big brands with value. Each island has a distinct personality, I help you find the one that fits yours.

Cruise FAQs

  • How do I know which cruise line is right for me?

Start with the vibe, not the ship size. Do you want laid-back luxury or all-out fun? Adults-only quiet or family-forward energy? I’ve sailed and toured across the major lines, so I’ll match you with the ship that fits your style—not just the one with the cutest TikTok videos.

  • Are cruises actually worth it?

Absolutely—when you pick the right itinerary and ship tier. Modern ships offer gorgeous staterooms, elevated dining, adults-only spaces, world-class entertainment, and endless activities that would cost a fortune on land. The key is choosing the right line and the right sailing, so your investment feels like a true upgrade, not a gamble.

  • Which cruises are best for families with kids or teens?

Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian all dominate family travel for different reasons—think character moments, private islands, waterparks, kids’ clubs, and plenty of dining that works for picky eaters. I pair you with a ship that gives your kids freedom and fun while still giving you moments of actual vacation.

  • How do you choose which cruise lines or ships to recommend?

I look at itinerary quality, ship layout, stateroom design, dining, entertainment, private island access, service standards, and overall guest experience. If a ship doesn’t meet my bar—or has consistently mid reviews—you won’t see it on your itinerary.

  • Can you arrange VIP perks (private cabanas, priority boarding, concierge, etc.)?

Yes. I handle everything from concierge-level suites and private island cabanas to specialty dining, spa reservations, and early access experiences. These little upgrades are what elevate your sailing from “fun” to “unforgettable.”

  • Which cruise destinations offer the best luxury experience?

    For beaches: Caribbean and Bahamas.
For culture and scenery: Mediterranean and Greece.
For bucket-list moments: Alaska and Northern Europe.
For true peace and quiet: Smaller-ship luxury lines and yacht-style cruising.
Every region has a different personality—I’ll guide you toward the one that matches yours.

  • Do I need a passport to cruise?

Most of the time, no. On closed-loop U.S. departures where it’s not technically required, I still recommend it. It makes travel smoother, safer, and stress-free if anything unexpected happens.

  • What’s included on a cruise and what’s extra?

Your stateroom, dining, entertainment, and most onboard activities are included. Extras vary by line but may include specialty dining, drinks, Wi-Fi, shore excursions, spa, cabanas, and gratuities. I break down all the numbers upfront so you know exactly what your sailing will cost from day one.

  • Are cruises good for adults-only trips?

Yes—especially on Virgin Voyages, Celebrity, and certain Royal Caribbean sailings. Think chic design, great bars, stunning spa areas, and zero kid chaos. If you’re craving a grown-up getaway, I’ll point you to the ships where the vibe matches the vacation you want.
