What Does a Luxury Travel Advisor Actually Do? (And Is It Worth Using One?)
What It’s Like Working With That Resort Girl to Plan Your Vacation
If planning a vacation has you 32 tabs deep comparing resorts, reading conflicting Facebook group advice, and second-guessing every review… you are exactly who I help.
Most people don’t need more options.
They need someone who actually knows these resorts to tell them which one fits their trip best.
That’s what I do.
So… What Does a Luxury Travel Advisor Actually Help With?
A lot more than just “booking a hotel.”
I help clients narrow down where to stay, which room category makes sense, what resorts are actually worth the price, and which ones look better online than they feel in person.
Because two resorts can cost the exact same amount and create completely different vacations.
Some clients come to me overwhelmed.
Some have already booked the wrong resort before.
Some simply want someone they trust handling the details so the trip feels easy from the beginning.
The Types of Trips I Help Plan
I primarily focus on:
Luxury family vacations
All-inclusive resorts in Mexico & the Caribbean
Hawaii vacations
Disney vacations & Disney Cruise Line
Luxury cruises
Europe vacations
Celebration trips
Couples getaways
Multigenerational family travel
Most of my clients are looking for elevated vacations that still feel practical for real life.
Beautiful beach and enough room for the kids.
Great food and easy logistics.
Luxury that still feels comfortable and fun.
My Biggest Job? Helping You Avoid the Wrong Resort.
This is honestly the part people underestimate most.
The internet makes almost every resort look incredible.
But what you don’t see online matters:
tiny rooms that don’t work for families
frustrating layouts
disappointing beaches
loud party atmospheres
inconsistent food
resorts that photograph beautifully but feel chaotic in person
I spend a huge amount of time learning resorts firsthand so I can help clients avoid expensive mistakes.
What Working Together Looks Like
Every trip starts with understanding:
who’s traveling
your budget
your priorities
your travel style
what matters most to you
and how you want the trip to feel
From there, I narrow things down and curate recommendations specifically for your trip.
As part of the process I help with:
room selection
cruise selection
VIP hotel perks
itinerary planning
transfers
dining recommendations
travel protection guidance
family-friendly resort strategy
How Much Does It Cost to Work With a Travel Advisor?
This is probably one of the biggest misconceptions people have.
For most vacations, there is no additional cost to work with me.
In many cases, resorts, cruise lines, and travel suppliers already build travel advisor commission into their pricing whether you use an advisor or not. Booking with me typically costs the same as booking directly online, but with personalized guidance, resort matching, support, and planning help included.
The difference is that instead of spending hours researching everything yourself, you have someone helping you narrow down the right fit from the beginning.
For more complex trips, custom itineraries, or certain high-touch planning services, there may occasionally be a planning fee depending on the scope of the trip. If that ever applies, I’ll always explain it upfront before moving forward.
Why So Many Clients Come Back Again
My clients are not looking for the cheapest vacation possible.
They’re looking for:
clarity
honesty
insider guidance
elevated experiences
and confidence that they’re booking the right trip
I’ll absolutely tell you when I think a resort is overpriced, overhyped, or simply not the right fit.
That honesty is why so many clients come back year after year.
Ready to Start Planning?
You don’t need another giant list of resorts.
You need someone to help you confidently choose the right one.
That’s exactly what I’m here for.
